Recent archaeological researches in the area of the Circus Maximus highlight the need to proceed to a review and re-analysis of some marble architectural fragments. ]e fragments are actually stored in the archaeological area, both on the Palatine and Aventine sides of the Circus. ]e present study is organized as a catalogue with a brief introduction of the hypothetical original context – the description is followed by a short record. ]e hypothesis about the contexts are based on the dimensions, the structure and on the characteristics of the decorative typology.
